The Asus ROG Ally, a new handheld gaming PC that aims to compete with Valve’s Steam Deck, is now available for pre-orders.

Launching on June 13, 2023, at a price of $699, the Asus ROG Ally runs on Windows and is a bit pricier than even the most expensive edition of the Steam Deck. In return for the higher cost, Asus’ machine packs a bit more oomph than Valve’s, coming with a more impressive set of hardware.

A slightly lower-spec version of the Asus ROG Ally with an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor instead of the regular version's Z1 Extreme will launch later this year for $599, though this is not yet available for pre-orders.
