F1 Manager 2024 finally takes key feature from biggest rival
Frontier announced the next entry into its F1 Manager series, which’ll be called F1 Manager 2024 – that’s about as shocking as hearing the Dutch national anthem after a Formula 1 Grand Prix – and is slated for a Summer 2024 release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
In its biggest shake-up since F1 Manager 2022’s initial release, the upcoming sequel features a key aspect of its chief rival, Motorsport Manager, in the form of a team creator. That’s right – you can choose one of the ten existing Formula 1 teams or simply make up your own stable and go for the two championships under your personal banner, designing everything from the car livery to the racing suits yourself.

Aside from this new feature, Frontier seems to have worked on management a bit more, adding a new mentality system and dynamic contract negotiation to simulate a threat to any team: the poaching of talent. Be it drivers or staff members, the AI is going to aim for your best performers in the upcoming game.
Another focus area is the race experience, for which Frontier promises improved racing behavior and fresh camera angles to immerse you in the action. Though a bit shallow on the management and simulation aspects, the series is already ranking at the top of the sports management genre when it comes to visuals, so it’s going to be exciting to see what else the developers can come up with to up their game.
