The first update for Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC and Xbox Series X|S, addressing various bugs and performance issues in the open-world RPG. A PS5 update is being worked on as well, but will need a few more days in the oven before it can be released. Going by what the players have been saying about the PC and Xbox patch, this might also have been true for that update.

Reports are coming in from all directions about how the patch didn’t really help resolve most of the performance issues and, indeed, made some of them even worse. As is the nature with a lot of PC games, much depends on the particular hardware configuration a player uses, so these experiences are not to be generalized. While some players have more problems than before, for others not much seems to have changed.

We didn’t notice any real differences using our best Hogwarts Legacy PC settings on the different game versions.
