A new trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, the upcoming RTS game made by Frontier Developments, shows off the full scope of features the title will offer when it launches on November 17, 2023, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

You can watch the trailer below:

This is our first look at creative features like the Army Livery, Map Editor, and Scene Editor, which we reported about recently. Army Livery, which allows players to customize their forces using the original Citadel colors from Games Workshop. While obviously not allowing quite the freedom of actual miniature painting, it looks like there is a decent amount of room to give your forces your own individual touch here.

You don't even need calm hands to pull off these painting schemes!

Both the Map and Scene Editors look quite capable as well. The Map Editor is going to be an especially crucial feature for the community, as such tools greatly help the longevity of RTS games. It seems like Steam Workshop integration might be a go as well, judging by the trailer, though it could also be an in-game sharing platform called Workshop. In any case, a good sign.

Map Editor tools are crucial to RTS games and Frontier seems to be on top of this.

We also got a bit of a better look at Conquest Mode, Realms of Ruin’s replayable single-player mode that makes up the main meat of the game alongside the single-player campaign and the multiplayer mode. In that department, Realms of Ruin will offer both 1v1 and 2v2 matches as well as skirmishes against the AI. Crossplay will be available for all of that.

If you love creating cool dioramas with all those awesome miniatures, the Scene Editor is for you.

Unless the developers have even more surprises in store, there is only one missing piece of information about the game as we head towards release: Who is the fourth and final playable faction going to be? With Stormcast Eternals, Orruk Kruleboyz, and Nighthaunt we already have three iconic factions in the game, but one more is forthcoming.
