As you'd probably expect from a list like this, the worst games of 2022 are mostly titles you haven't heard of.

Metacritic has put out a blog for the worst-reviewed games of 2022, and there are a couple of games with big publishers behind them at the top.

The Square Enix-backed Babylon's Fall comes in at third, while the Microsoft-backed CrossfireX comes in at second. Unsurprisingly, Postal 4: No Regerts (that isn't a typo) is the worst video game of 2022. As funny as stubbing your toe on a rusty nail.

Here's the full list, via Metacritic

Metacritic is a review aggregator that takes all major critic reviews from across the web and turns them into an average score. It's generally a good indicator of quality, so the above games must be stinkers.

Babylon's Fall was famously pulled offline less than a year after it launched, which gives you an idea of the kinds of disasters we're looking at here.
