If you can’t wait to see the new Zelda game in action as soon as possible, Nintendo is hosting a Tears of the Kingdom launch livestream on May 11, 2023. Depending on where you live, though, you might want to just experience it for yourself, if you’re buying it at launch.

The stream goes live at 9:45 p.m. Eastern time, just two hours before you can get Tears of the Kingdom on the eShop or at a store that’s holding a launch party. European and U.K. folks will already have access to the game by that point, and neither regional Nintendo account announced a similar stream for those time zones.

What the Treehouse team plans to show is still a mystery. The stream description only says “gameplay from Tears of the Kingdom.” Presumably, the team won’t spoil the beginning or any serious plot moments just hours before the game launches, unlike some people who got the game early and promptly uploaded parts of it online.

A safe guess would be more fusion demonstrations that dive deeper than the introduction Nintendo previously gave or maybe some exploration in the new and ruined Hyrule. If we’re lucky, maybe we’ll even get to see Sidon take down some enemies alongside Link as the last trailer teased.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, and don’t forget, it’ll cost you a little bit more than you’re used to thanks to Nintendo's experimental selective price hike.
