The first Nintendo Direct of 2023 is in the books, and as expected, we got a new look at this year's most anticipated game: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

This Nintendo Switch exclusive Breath of the Wild sequel is set for release on May 12, 2023 and fans have more reason to be hyped than ever as the second official trailer has been revealed.

Here's the full trailer for you to watch now:

We got a much more detailed look at this version of Hyrule in this trailer, with storms engulfing the land, new horrific monsters on both the land and in the sky roam about as an ominous voice (presumably a newly resurrected form of Ganon) tells their minions to rise.

Many of the locations from Breath of the Wild are still around, but they have been worn down and torn apart even more so than in that game, and now the skies above are filled with new lands to discover.

You'll need transport for it all, and while there is still your trusty horse, we got a glimpse of new technology that lets you create a car on land and a drone that Link can ride through the sky. Also, Link can pop a sick rail grind now, which is cool.

We'll likely be seeing more of what's in store as we approach the May 12, 2023 release date.
