Epic Games

Epic Games is the video game developer and publisher behind Fortnite, the battle royale game filled with geeky crossovers.

It is also the creator of Unreal Engine, one of the most popular and powerful game-creation tools in the world.

On top of that, it owns Steam competitor the Epic Games Store, a PC storefront full of purchasable titles.

In 2022, Epic Games was fined over $500 million for data collection and using "illegal dark patterns" to make people unintentionally purchase digital items, by the FTC.
