BG3: Where to find Dammon the Infernal Mechanic after leaving the refugee camp
There are so many important NPCs in Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s difficult to keep track of them all. One of these characters is Dammon, the Tiefling smith you first meet in Act 1 at the refugee camp in the Emerald Grove. If you’re traveling with Karlach, then you’re tasked with finding Dammon for her quest later on. You should also keep an eye out for him if you have Infernal Iron in your inventory and are wondering what this material can be used for.
Here’s where you can find Dammon after leaving the refugee camp in BG3.
BG3: Dammon’s location in Act 2
Head to Last Light Inn once you're in Act 2 to meet up with the Harpers and the Tiefling refugees.

Once you’ve crossed over to Act 2 – either by traveling through the dangerous Underdark or over the mountain pass – you’ll find yourself in a dark land beset by a shadow curse. There is one ray of light and hope in these foul parts: the Baldur's Gate 3 Last Light Inn. This aptly named establishment is where an expeditionary force of Harpers as well as the Tiefling refugees from the Emerald Grove ended up. Isobel, a cleric of Selune, is maintaining a barrier that keeps the curse at bay.
Dammon's smithy can be found inside the stables next to the main building of the inn.

You need to win the trust of Jaheira, the Harpers’ leader, to gain free movement in the shielded area. As you explore the inn, you’ll find many familiar faces from the Druid Grove, though many more didn’t make it. Fortunately, Dammon is one of the survivors: You can find him in the stables next to the main building of the inn – it’s hard to miss, as it’s the second-biggest structure in the small area.
BG3: Dammon and the Infernal Iron
You can find Dammon inside the smithy and interact with him.

Dammon has built a little smithy inside, where you can interact with him. If you have Internal Iron on you, he’ll forge you a set of heavy armor, the Flawed Helldusk Armour. It has 18 AC, Superior Plate (you take -1 Piercing Damage), and Lesser Infernal Retribution, which can attack enemies within a range 3m that hit you with 1d4 Fire Damage.
If you have Infernal Iron on you, Dammon can craft a set of heavy armor.

You can also trade with Dammon here. Among his offers is a very rare shortsword that offers lifesteal on critical hits.
Just like back in the Emerald Grove, you can trade with Dammon and get some equipment from him.

BG3: Strange Ox and Alfira at Last Light Inn
The Strange Ox has made it to the Last Light Inn as well – and you can finally persuade it to talk about its plans.

There is another old acquaintance nearby: the Baldur's Gate 3 Strange Ox from the Grove made it as well, so be sure to investigate it if it’s of any interest to you. It’s waiting in the stables right by Dammon’s smithy.
As for those refugees who didn’t make it: Talk to the Tiefling bard Alfira inside the inn (she’s at the fireplace in the center, behind the counter where Jaheira waits for you) to get a quest for rescuing all the Tieflings from the clutches of the Absolute in Moonrise Tower.
This is especially worthwhile for anyone playing a Warlock or Wizard, because one of the rewards for pulling this off successfully is the fantastic light armor Potent Robe. It comes with Gregarious Caster, among other benefits, which allows your Cantrips to deal additional damage based on your Charisma modifier – this stacks with bonuses like Agonizing Blast, making your Eldritch Blast and other Cantrips especially juicy.
