Fortnite 27.10 patch notes: Seasons 7 and 8 return
Fortnite OG is rolling on with the first major patch moving us along the timeline yet again, this time to the frozen wastes that the Ice King created, with multiple POIs being transformed into frozen versions of themselves, just in time for winter. This update also brings back some classic weapons, items, and vehicles, alongside a major change to voice chat.
We’ll cover everything that’s changed in Fortnite OG 27.10 so you can jump in knowing what to expect.
Unvaulted weapons – Fortnite 27.10

Like every other season covered so far, some of the coolest weapons from that time have been unvaulted. For this go around we have:
- Flint-Knock Pistol
- Minigun
- Quadlauncher
These are some powerful weapons, ranging all the way from a high-damage pistol to an explosive rocket launcher that can shoot four rockets at once – things are about to get chaotic.

The following items are returning too, letting you be more crafty than before:
- Poison Dart Trap
- Itemized Glider Redeploy
- Buried Treasure

With this update’s vehicles, you can either take to the skies in grand fashion or take it slow yet powerful with the X-4 Stormwing plane or the Pirate Canon ready to send your enemies packing. All of these unvaulted objects can now spawn at random locations around the map, or in treasure chests.
Voice reporting – Fortnite 27.10

A new moderation tool has been introduced in this update too. You’ll have to turn it on in the menu, but once it’s on you can report voice chat at any time and a log of the past five minutes of chat will be saved, uploaded, and sent to Epic moderators for review.
Any chat including a person who is under 18 years old will automatically have voice reporting on. Anyone under 18 (or the parents thereof) who doesn’t want to appear in voice chats or recordings will have to either mute themselves or disable voice chat entirely.
Island age rating – Fortnite 27.10
Epic Games
All islands in Fortnite Creative will now be required to have an age rating attached, and any rated too highly may be blocked depending on parental controls and the age of the player. On top of this, some cosmetic items that don’t comply with an E or E-10 rating will be banned from usage while on islands of those ratings.
