Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: How to start The Teal Mask
So you’ve bought the Scarlet and Violet DLC and you’ve downloaded the update. What now? The first part of the Hidden Treasures of Area Zero is finally here with The Teal Mask taking you to the Kitakami region full of a bunch of returning pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. So it’s understandable if you want to rush over there and start catching them right away, and we’ll explain how.
How to start The Teal Mask – Pokémon DLC

Make sure that you’ve purchased the DLC and downloaded the update before launching the game. You can double-check by pressing + on the game on the Switch’s home screen, then go to “Software Updates” and you can check from there.
Once that’s done, open up the game and if you’ve already completed the main story, you’ll get a call from Jacq telling you to come to the academy’s entrance hall as soon as you open the game - head over there and speak to Briar to begin. If you’re starting a new game, then you’ll need to progress the story until you’ve started the treasure hunt storyline before you can access the new content.
