AEW Fight Forever is set to finally release on June 29, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Originally intended to be launched much earlier, a number of development setbacks pushed the release date back further and further.

Developed by YUKE’s and published by THQ Nordic, AEW Fight Forever aims to compete with WWE 2K23. 2K’s series of WWE games stood pretty much uncontested in the wrestling game market in the last couple of years, so it’s going to be interesting if the alternative can garner any sort of momentum.

Fight Forever is the first officially licensed video game by All Elite Wrestling and will feature over ten game modes from standard duels and tag-team matches to more exotic things like the Exploding Barbed Wire Death mode – yes, that’s apparently a thing.

A co-op mode is included as well, which features a special function for tag-team matches allowing players to perform team maneuvers via coordinated quick-time-events.

A short trailer accompanied the announcement of the release date:

There has been no full roster announcement for AEW Fight Forever yet, but with the release date being on the horizon, more information on this is sure to follow soon.
