Forspoken DLC In Tanta We Trust gets a May 2023 release date
Forspoken is getting a DLC called In Tanta We Trust on May 26, 2023. The additional content will be available on PC as well as PS5.
“Get ready to dive into Athia’s past and discover how the magic-wielding Tantas lost what they once were,” Square Enix tweeted about the DLC.
It was revealed that Luminous Productions is working on DLC for Forspoken when news broke that Square Enix would fold the development studio back into the main company. Square Enix took this step after Forspoken received very mixed reviews from both critics and users, selling less copies than had been anticipated as a result.
The merger between Luminous and Square Enix will be closed by May 1, 2023, which could mean that In Tanta We Trust is going to be the final piece of content Forspoken will get.
The DLC will serve as a prequel to the main story, exploring events 25 years before the game takes place. Worldbuilding has been one of the weaker parts of Forspoken alongside its story and dialog, while the combat and action in the game were generally received favorably.
