Genshin Impact manages to surprise players again and again with interesting new game modes during its time-limited events. Last year’s Pokémon-like mode, Fabulous Fungus Frenzy, which had players catch Fungus creatures of different elemental types, upgrade them, and lead them into battle against teams of other Fungi was simply delightful. If you liked meeting Bongo-Head and its friends and were sad that we didn’t get to keep the adorable Fungus for our Teapot Realm, you can look forward to its grand return in Fungus Mechanics.

Fungus Mechanics is scheduled to take place from March 23, 2023, to April 3, 2023, and will be available to all players of Adventure Rank 30 and above. You also need to have completed the Archon Quest “A New Star Approaches”. Rewards include Primogems, character XP material, weapon XP material, and artifact XP material.

This game mode fuses elements from Theater Mechanicus and Fungus Frenzy together into a new experience, which will have us control our Fungus battle team to defeat wave after wave of mechanical enemies.

We’re probably going to get some story elements as well, which should hopefully allow us to reunite with Bongo-Head and the entire crew of Fungi we met during the grand Fungus battle tournament in Sumeru.

The second half of Genshin Impact 3.5 will also feature the return of Spices From The West from March 31 to April 10, which will have Primogems, character XP materials, and talent materials in store, and another edition of Ley Line Overflow from April 3 to 10. The latter will present a great opportunity to farm character XP material or Mora in great numbers and is always a welcome addition to round off a game version.

The official halftime date for Genshin Impact 3.5 is March 21, which is when the currently active character banners will change. Dehya and Cyno say goodbye and make way for the reruns of Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe as well as the debut of Mika.
