EA Sports has officially revealed the cover star for Madden NFL 24 to be Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills. Called one of the strongest arms in the NFL, he was one of the most sought after rookies in the 2018 NFL Draft, where the Bills chose him as the seventh overall pick. He earned two Player of the Week awards in the 2022 season.

Madden NFL 24 is the next iteration of EA Sports’ annual football sim series and is expected to be released in Summer 2023. The Madden NFL games are annual best-sellers in the US video games charts and contain a variety of game modes from single-player franchise mode to the Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) multiplayer mode. The Superstar mode returns for Madden NFL 24.

EA Sports’ licensing deal with NFL will be coming up for renewal soon and with both indie titles and fellow sports sim publisher 2K getting ready with their own football titles, there will be some much needed competition in this area in the near future. For fans, this hopefully means that EA will have to put a little bit more effort into this upcoming iteration than usual.
