The next entry into the popular Monster Hunter series has been announced at The Game Awards 2023: Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to be launched in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

You can watch the trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, which seems like a spiritual successor to Monster Hunter World, below:

As you’d expect, the announcement trailer is filled with action-packed combat scenes and many fantastical beasties that you’ll hunt down, skin, dismember, and turn into stylish boots with some cool effects. Totally normal stuff.

Capcom has been on an absolute roll recently, releasing one fantastic title after the other, which makes fans pretty pumped about another Monster Hunter game coming up. From the looks of it Monster Hunter Wild will be powered by the same tech as Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake, which has served Capcom very well so far.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a 2025 title.

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest mainline game from the franchise and was launched in 2021. Its single expansion pack, Sunbreak, followed one year later. 2023 has seen no release from the main series, but brought about the launch of Monster Hunter Now, a mobile game developed by Pokémon Go creator Niantic.

More information on Monster Hunter Wilds will be revealed in 2024.
