A Twitch ad likely spoiled that a Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo will be released at or after today’s Capcom showcase. The short advertisement, which seemingly was pushed out a bit too early by the streaming platform and then spotted by Twitter users, showed a compressed version of an older trailer and ends with a splash screen saying “Demo Available Now” with the logos of Steam for the PC version, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at the bottom (thanks, ResetEra).

This honestly isn’t a massive surprise – many fans had already suspected that something like this would happen as soon as Capcom announced a showcase for March 9, 2023. Still, this is pretty much a confirmation of that guess and will give fans of the franchise something to look forward to.

The Capcom Showcase is scheduled to begin at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT / 11pm CET, so you may expect the Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo to become available on your platform of choice a little bit after that.

The remake of the classic horror game has fans buzzing with excitement with each new look at the game being more impressive than the last. Resident Evil 4 Remake’s full release is planned for March 24, 2023, so the upcoming demo version will have to serve your horror needs for the next two weeks.

Just like the original game from 2005, the remake follows US Strategic Command Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy, who must save the kidnapped Ashley Graham, the US President’s daughter, from the Los Illuminados cult in Spain. It was directed by Shinji Mikami, who was recently announced to leave his studio, Tango Gameworks.
