Revealed during today’s Warhammer Skulls showcase, Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks is a rapid vehicle combat game developed by Caged Element and published by Plaion coming to PC. The Alpha playtest is currently available on Steam for free.
Speed Freeks pits 16 players – divided up in teams – against each other in chaotic vehicular combat scenarios on several different maps. There are seven killer, tank, and support vehicles available that each have unique abilities and characteristics to offer.
The Alpha test's game mode is a mix between your typical conquest and racing modes as players are tasked with racing to capture points, fighting over them to gain score, and then race to the finish line. Made in Unreal Engine 5, Speed Freeks is described as the “ultimate Warhammer 40,000 Ork gaming fantasy” by the developers.
Speed Freeks is based on a tabletop game made by Games Workshop with the same name. You can try Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks for free until June 8, 2023.
