Porsche, founded almost 100 years ago in 1931, is known for making some of the quickest and most attractive sports cars in the world. That part of the German manufacturer’s business was started in 1948 and thus celebrates its 75th birthday this year, an anniversary which Xbox helps the company celebrate with a run of limited edition Xbox Series X consoles and controllers.

Their designs are based on six historic liveries Porsche race cars have used in one of the most legendary racing events of all time, the 24h of Le Mans. This endurance race is so iconic that it’s part of the Triple Crown – considered the most prestigious achievement in motor racing – along with the Indy 500 and the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix and recently celebrated its own 100th birthday. Unfortunately, from Porsche’s perspective, it was Ferrari’s entry that took the checkered flag first on this momentous occasion.

That doesn’t take away from the appeal of the featured console and controller designs in any way, however:

  • Salzburg (1970)
  • “Hippie” (1970)
  • “Pink Pig” (1971)
  • Porsche Racing Edition (1978)
  • 911 GT1 (1998)
  • 75th Anniversary / Porsche 963 (2023)

Featured in plenty of racing games from the recent and popular Forza Horizon 5 to the upcoming Forza Motorsport, Porsche’s vehicles have a long history of starring in games available on Xbox and won’t be unfamiliar to fans of the racing game genre.

Let’s get to the important question you’re now asking yourself: How do I get my hands on one of these slick designs?

You’ll have to trust your favor with Lady Fortune, because these limited edition Porsche-inspired Xbox Series X consoles and controllers won’t be available for purchase. Instead, you’ll have to enter a giveaway and hope for the best outcome. You can do so by visiting the official website for the collaboration and participate before the deadline of October 1, 2023.

Please note that participation is only possible for residents of the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.
