COD MW2 and Warzone Trophy Hunt: how to get trophies, bank, and unlock rewards
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 have finally entered Season 3, and this season lasts longer than the ones that have come before. This time around there’s a focus on the Trophy Hunt, a new event that’ll be with us for a while during Season 3.
You can earn Trophies throughout the game, and bank them in order to get access to new rewards. This event only lasts a limited time, and unlocking everything will require a lot of trophies, so read through this guide to unlock everything you need during the Trophy Hunt event in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.
Trophy Hunt event explained – COD MW2 & Warzone
The Trophy Hunt event is taking place across all of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s main modes, and you can earn trophies while playing pretty much any game mode. Once you’ve earned trophies in the game, you can then spend them on special cosmetic items. Unlock 15 items total, and you’ll get new Roze and Konig skins, in addition to the items you’ve purchased.
How to earn and bank trophies – COD MW2 & Warzone
In order to spend trophies, we have to earn trophies. While playing MW2’s multiplayer modes, you simply need to kill enemies and run over them to collect trophy tokens that will spawn from their corpse. Any trophies you collect will be added to your Trophy Hunt event screen at the end of the game.
It’s a bit tougher in the Battle Royale modes, as you have to store collected tokens at deposits, which are positioned at set points around the map. DMZ is very similar, but NPCs drop more trophy tokens.
Fastest way to earn trophies – COD MW2 & Warzone
If you’ve purchased MW2, then you can earn trophies quickly in games like Gunfight and Team Deathmatch. If you’re a free Warzone player, then Resurgence games on Ashika Island might be better. Here you can camp near token deposits, kill enemies, add them to your bank, and then leave the game and repeat to earn tokens quickly.
Trophy Hunt event rewards – COD MW2 & Warzone
Currently there are 12 rewards available, with another six unlocking on April 26. If you want to earn both Roze and Konig skins available, you’ll need to unlock 15 of the total 18 Trophy Hunt rewards. This is easier said than done, as some rewards are more expensive than others, such as the 1,000 token Trophy Hunt Master Calling Card.
Hopefully the locked rewards will be affordable, so it won’t be too difficult to unlock enough rewards to get the exclusive skins.
