The Special World is where the toughest stages lie, and you won’t be able to access the final challenges unless you manage to get into the Special World through every secret entrance found in the game’s six worlds, and the Petal Isles overworld.
In this guide we’re breaking down every Special World entrance in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. You’ll need to locate all of these in order to complete the Special World, and many of them are tough to find, requiring an alternate exit or Wonder Seed in stages that you’ve probably already completed.

Pipe-Rock Plateau Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

In this world you need to find the alternative exit in the stage Bulrush Express in order to unlock World 1’s path to the Special World.

Once you complete the Wonder Seed portion of the stage you’ll come to a red pipe with a series of blocks to the right, and you can get past these blocks with either the Elephant or Drill ability, leading to a different pipe, and the alternative exit for this world.
Fluff-Puff Peaks Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

As you ascend to the area with pink clouds, take the right path to find Jump! Jump! Jump!. Complete this stage, and the next, to find World 2’s Special World entrance.
Shining Falls Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

Right at the end of this world you’ll find the Royal Seed Mansion, and if you go inside the mansion twice, you’ll be rewarded with World 3’s path to the Special World.
Sunbaked Desert Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

In this world you need to find the alternative exit in the stage Secrets of Shova Mansion.

In the final section of this stage, just before the goal flag, you’ll encounter another enemy pushing a green block, with some breakable blocks behind it. Defeat the enemy and ground pound the blocks to clear them out, then push the block into the space that remains.

This will reveal a golden pipe, leading to the alternate exit for this stage.
Fungi Mines Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

Beat Operation Poplin Rescue twice to open up World 5’s path to the Special World.
Deep Magma Bog Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

There’s a final mission in World 6 that requires 25 Wonder Seeds from that world to access – Expert Badge Challenge – Jet Run II. If you manage to earn enough Wonder Seeds, you can take on the mission – and the challenges that follow it – to find World 6’s Special World entrance.
Petal Isles Special World entrance – Mario Wonder

In order to get the Petal Isles Special World entrance, simply beat all of the Petal Isles stages, making a complete circular loop around the overworld. You can find the Special World entrance next to the World 1 entrance.
