Marvel's Midnight Suns Magik challenge: Demon Child mission guide

Midnight Suns makes the most of every hero on the roster, and Magik's powerful abilities can manipulate the entire battlefield at once

If you want to get your hands on the most powerful cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you’ll need to put some work in. Firstly you’ll need to hang out with them so that you can maximize their friendship to level 5. Once you’ve done that you’ll unlock their challenge mission, which is a short puzzle you need to solve. Solving it will earn that hero the legendary Midnight Suns outfit, as well as a legendary ability that’s sure to make the most of their powers.

We’ve already made guides on how to complete the Hunter’s challenge mission and Nico Minoru’s challenge mission, so now we’re going to tell you how to get your hands on Magik’s best gear.

Magik challenge mission solution - Midnight Suns

In this mission, you’ll be faced with five enemies and infinite card plays. One enemy is holding the Darkchydle card, you need to kill them and use it before ending your turn.

Before you do anything, use Limbo’s Grasp. This epic card will deal extra damage to any enemy that passes through one of Magik’s portals.

The enemy holding the Darkchylde card is the only one you need to focus on here. First use one of your Trap Door cards to move them to Magik’s right, just in front of the green leyline on the arena floor.

Next, use Quick Soulslash on the enemy, sending them crashing into the leyline. This will do a bit of damage and apply the Vulnerable status effect to them.

Now use Limbo Portal and direct the portal to ensure anything coming out of it will collide with a wall or another enemy.

Then use Kick to send the enemy through the portal and into the wall. This will do a lot of damage.

Use Soul Blast to send them crashing into the wall once more, doing a bit more damage.

After that, use your second Trap Door card to place the enemy next to the red leyline, putting them on the brink of death.

Now use one Heroism to detonate the red leyline, this will kill the enemy and give you the Dakrchylde card.

Use the Darkchylde card on Magik and end your turn. You can then watch as the enemy’s attacks don’t even scratch her, completing the challenge.

Magik challenge mission rewards - Midnight Suns

Like every challenge, this will give you the legendary Midnight Suns outfit. On top of that, you’ll get the legendary Darkchydle ability card. This taunts every enemy on the field – forcing them to target Magik – and will then make her invulnerable for one turn.
