Palworld: how to get coal
Coal is an important resource in Palworld well into the late game. It’s a key ingredient in making Refined Ingots, which are required for loads of great gear throughout the latter half of the game’s tech tree. It’s only available in certain areas of the world though, so we’ll show you where you can get your hands on it.

How to get coal in Palworld
Pocketpair
Coal is found in desert biomes in Palworld. There are a couple of these on the map at slightly different levels.
As you can see on the map above, the area where Anubis spawns is a small desert with Level 20-25 Pals, while in the northeast of the map is a massive desert island, where Pal levels are 30+. Both will have coal in abundance, so go mining in whichever you find easier – although the desert island will have some cooler rare Pals.
