The E4 of the Indigo Disk is unlike any E4 challenge in Pokémon history. Not only do you fight them all separately, but they are all double battles, each with competitive sets.

They have good abilities, items and movesets, making them a bit tougher to take down.

If you are having trouble taking down the E4, here is everything we know so far.

Indigo Disk: How to beat Crispin the Fire-Type E4

Crispin from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC The Indigo Disk

Crispin

Crispin is located in the Savanna Biome at the Savanna Plaza. You will have to make him a very spicy sandwich before you battle him. His team is based around Fire-type Pokémon, but he also has a Chlorophyll Exeggutor with Sitrus Berry, Harvest and Solarbeam. This is a great counter to Water-type, particularly as other Pokémon will set up the sun for it. Other types of weather will counter it quite well.

Crispin always leads Rotom Heat and Talonflame; the latter will always start with Sunny Day. The Talonflame will also Sunny Day again if the weather is changed. The others can be sent out in varying order, but the final Pokémon is always Blaziken. You will receive the Temper Flare TM as your reward.

Amarys in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC The Indigo Disk

Amarys

Amarys is found in the Canyon Biome at Canyon Plaza. Her team focuses on Steel-type Pokémon with a number of heavy-hitting physical attackers. The exception here is Reuniclus. As most of her team is very slow, Reuniclus uses Trick Room to make her slower Pokémon go first. You can counter this with priority-type attacks, your own Trick Room or Taunt.

She always leads with Skarmory who likes to Whirlwind out one of your team for a random member. She also leads an Alolan Dugtrio with Tangling Hair, which will help slow down your lead. Metagross always comes out last as her tera Pokémon. If you beat her, you will be rewarded with the Hard Press TM.

Indigo Disk: How to beat Drayton the Dragon-type E4

Drayton in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC

Drayton

Drayton is in the Polar Biome at Polar Plaza. He is the Dragon-type E4 member and don’t worry if you used awful Pokémon to beat his trial; you can switch your team before the start of the fight. All of his Pokémon are Dragon-type, except Sceptile, who is an honorary Dragon thanks to its Mega Evolution.

Drayton always leads Dragonite and Flygon, though Dragonite can take a surprisingly hard Ice-type move thanks to both the Yache Berry and the Multiscale ability. It also has Extreme Speed, which always packs a punch. The rest of the order is random except Archaludon, which is Drayton’s Tera and always comes out last. He will give you the Dragon Cheer TM as your reward, which you can use to evolve your Dipplin.

Lacey is the Fairy-type E4 member who inhabits the Coastal Plaza in the Coastal Biome. While the majority of her Pokémon are Fairy-type, she has a Galarian Slowbro, which is Poison-/Psychic-type, and an Excadrill, which terastylises to Fairy-type.

She will always lead with Whimsicott and Granbull. Whimsicott will use the Prankster ability to set up a screen and protect the rest of Lacey’s team. It also has a Focus Sash, meaning it could set up both screens, but doesn’t always. Her final Pokémon will be Excadrill as her Tera. For winning, you’ll be rewarded with the Alluring Voice TM.

He leads with Dragonite and Politoed. As Politoed is slow, you might want your weather setter in the back if you want control. This will also help with Dragonite, who uses the rain to get accurate Hurricanes. The other Pokémon are in random order except Hydrapple, who is always his last.
