Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: How to get the flashy jinbei

Use this guide to restore Loyal Plaza and unlock the final DLC costume

The post-game of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask offers a number of interesting activities and rewards. In addition to catching the Loyal Three and completing the quest to catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna, players can also unlock a few more uniform options.

Two are given by talking to Carmine and Kieran’s grandmother at their house, but there is another: the flashy jinbei. Unlocking the flashy jinbei isn’t particularly difficult, but it does require a decent chunk of time and investment.

In this guide we’ll tell you how to restore Loyal Plaza and unlock the flashy jinbei clothing option.

Restoring the Loyal Plaza – The Teal Mask Pokémon DLC

During the main story of The Teal Mask, the monument in Loyal Plaza is destroyed when the Loyal Three – Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and Okidogi – are resurrected. Once the main story of the DLC is finished, you’ll have an option to talk to the Kitakami elder at Kitakami Hall, who’ll tell you that he’s putting together funds to restore the monument to attract tourists.

To restore the plaza, you’ll need to give the elder 1,000,000 dollars, which is a pretty steep price to pay. You can choose to pay in 10,000 or 100,000 dollar increments, but unfortunately can’t pay it all at once even if you have the cash on hand. Once you cough up the cash, you’ll get taken to the monument, where you can see it’s been lovingly restored — with every scratch, nick, and stain exactly where it was prior to its destruction.

As a reward for restoring the monument, you’ll be given the flashy jinbei uniform option, as well as a new emote. You’ll also get one Pretty Feather for every 10,000 dollars you donate, which is absolutely not enough to make your money back.

How to earn money – The Teal Mask Pokémon DLC

Earning money to pay for the restoration of the Loyal Plaza doesn’t have to be too difficult. If you finished the main game prior to starting the DLC you should have a decent chunk of that money already. You can also run through the repeatable post-game tournament a few times with an Amulet Coin equipped to quickly gather more cash.

Another good way to earn money is to complete Tera raids. While lower-level raids don’t yield much in the way of returns, 5- and 6-star raids usually give a bunch of items specifically for selling, such as Nuggets, Pearls, and Comet Shards.

Finally, completing the Billy and O’Nare questline will actually give you almost exactly enough money to restore the plaza — exactly 1,004,892 dollars if you don’t use an Amulet Coin in the few battles with them. It’s almost like that was planned.
