Rise of the Ronin will be released on March 22, 2024, at 12am local time. It’s a typical regional midnight launch as we’re used to from Sony.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to benefit from it due to the so-called New Zealand trick not working on PS5. PlayStation accounts are based on your specific region and you can’t simply change that on a whim like on Xbox Series X|S, where this maneuver is often used to play new releases early.
Both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game will be available on the same day. There is no Early Access period included with the more expensive version.
Rise of the Ronin: preload
Here’s the good news: You may not be able to play Rise of the Ronin early, but you can save yourself the wait for the download on launch day by preloading the game.
The Rise of the Ronin preload will be available on March 15, 2024, at 12am local time – exactly one week before the game will be released.
