Cult of the Lamb’s free “sex update” is also the gun and beer update
It’s almost time to arouse and carouse in Cult of the Lamb: The free Sins of the Flesh update, which has commonly been called the “sex update” by fans, is being released on January 16, 2024, and just got a flashy (fleshy?) new trailer highlighting some of the included additions.
Now to make one thing clear: There’s nothing explicit about any of the new content – yes, the sacrificial lambs of your cult can now do the deed and multiply, but it’s all just implied and kept Teen-rated, so the whole “sex update” shtick is just something fun that originated with a bet between the community and developer Massive Monster. Cultists may now “love each other very much,” as the official description says, and produce offspring in the form of an egg from which a child eventually hatches into its new cult life. Beautiful.

Aside from that, Sins of the Flesh introduces another beloved physical pleasure for your cult members to indulge themselves in: alcohol. You can produce beer and wine to make cultists happy – and they’ll probably serve some rituals as ingredients, since that’s been the case in many religions throughout history.
Fashion is another part of the update: The new tailor building allows you to dress up your cultists individually or keep things uniform.
There will be changes to cult management as well, helping you reduce the time you need to do chores like sweeping poop thanks to your broom leveling up and the automation system getting more upgrades.
Sins of the Flesh will add the blunderbuss as a brand-new weapon option, allowing you to blast away any heretics while saying that weapons are part of your religion. It looks like a good amount of content will arrive in Cult of the Lamb for free on January 16, 2024, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
