It’s time for another free game from the Epic Games Store: In Duskers you use various drones to explore a procedurally generated universe full of derelict starships and stations, scavenging what you can to upgrade your equipment. Your goal is to find out what exactly happened to the galaxy to make it so empty and devastated, but you’re not alone – dangerous creatures lurk everywhere and may end your run at any time.

Developer Misfits Attic released the game in 2016, landing one of the biggest indie hits of the entire year and earning praise from critics. You can claim it for free on the Epic Games Store until March 2, 2023, at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET.

As is tradition, Epic Games has already revealed what game will be free next week – drum roll, please: it’s Rise of Industry by Dapper Penguin Studios, an economy simulation game that sees you become an early 20th century industrialist, who hopes to make the big bucks.

Exploit resources, build infrastructure, create logistics chains, and get those products where they can be sold at the highest price on procedurally generated maps. All the while you need to keep your rivals in check, since they’ll want a piece of your pie – or start a hostile takeover of your company.

Rise of Industry will become free once Duskers leaves the stage on March 2. That’s also when the free game following Rise of Industry will be revealed.
