Fortnite teams up with MrBeast for $1 million competition

Fortnite players can win a million dollars if they're good

From 9am ET today, MrBeast's Extreme Survival Challenge goes live in Fortnite. Come out with the top score and you'll take home $1 million.

The challenge sees you avoiding hazards and collecting coins to rack up a score. You can play it as many times as you like while the challenge is live, and the game will take your best score and tally it up against others around the world.

In case you're not extremely online, MrBeast is a YouTube personality who gives away other people's money in wacky videos - most famously, he recreated the viral Netflix show Squid Game.

If you don't get the top spot, you can win the golden Beast Brella Umbrella to use in Fortnite by being in the top 100,000 players.

The competition kicks off properly on December 17 at 12pm ET, but you can practice until then.

The island will be accessible from the Discover screen as well as from the island code 7990-6907-8565.

Players must have 2FA enabled and verified on their Epic account for their score to be counted in the challenge. You must also have an account at level 15 or above.

The challenge will run until January 4, 2023, at 6:59pm ET.

Check the Epic Games blog for more details, as well as entry requirements. Online games are fun, eh?
