Manor Lords has been wishlisted two million times on Steam now
Developers can’t buy anything from their games being wishlisted by users on Steam, but it’s a solid metric for the amount of excitement surrounding a title – and people are definitely excited for Manor Lords, a strategic city-builder set to be released on April 26, 2024, on PC. Publisher Hooded Horse announced on January 18, 2024, that solo developer Slavic Magic’s upcoming game has found its way onto two million wishlists, which bodes well for the launch later this year.
Manor Lords is the second-most wishlisted title on PC gaming’s most important platform – only Hades 2 has more people interested in it. This puts the strategy game ahead of Hollow Knight: Silksong, Palworld (which is going to leave the list tomorrow anyways due to being released), Black Myth: Wukong, and Frostpunk 2.
Manor Lords will combine city-building with real-time strategy battles.

“When we first launched the announcement trailer in 2020, my girlfriend said she expected me to get 7,000 wishlists,” commented Greg Styczeń, the man behind Manor Lords developer Slavic Magic, in a press release. “I was more optimistic and said it would be more like 14,000 and that would be awesome. Suffice to say, I did not expect the game to pick up so much interest and hit over two million.”
He continued: “I hope this is encouraging for other devs who struggle to get their games out there. I had no idea how the game would be received or if I'd be bad at marketing, but luckily I wasn't discouraged and kept going.”
In addition to Steam and GOG, Manor Lords will be released on PC Game Pass on Day 1. A Xbox Series X|S port with Xbox Game Pass inclusion will follow at a later date.
