E3 might be dead and buried for 2023, but the spirit of E3 month lives on, and PlayStation fans are the first to get treated to a presentation. Sony has announced a new PlayStation Showcase for next week, which is said to be an hour-long and cover a host of new information about games coming to PS5 and PS VR2.

The showcase is said to be bringing “a wealth of new games and IP” which are headed to the platforms, according to a blog post announcing the show. Sony also says that there will be games from several internal PlayStation studios, as well as a bunch of games from third-party developers and indies.

We can probably expect a firm release date for Spider-Man 2, which is rumored to be launching sometime in September, and it’s likely we’ll see more details for the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game. Other than that, pretty much everything else is on the table, and with an hour on the clock, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

The presentation is due to take place on May 24 or May 25, depending on where you are in the world, though it seems like the time is very much appropriate for Americans and not so much for anyone else.

That said, here are the times for the presentation depending on your time zone:

May 24

  • PT - 1pm
  • ET - 4pm
  • BST - 9pm
  • CEST - 10pm

May 25

  • IST - 1:30am
  • CST - 4am
  • JST - 5am
  • AEST - 6am
  • NZST - 8am

As for where you’ll be able to watch these things, Sony says you can tune into the official PlayStation YouTube channel, or the official PlayStation Twitch channel, both of which will be streaming the presentation live.

One thing we know for sure won’t be there is Hollow Knight Silksong, which was recently announced to be delayed. The indie game – a follow-up to the widely celebrated Hollow Knight – was initially pegged to be coming in the first half of 2023, but has been moved to essentially “when it’s done”. When that will be is anybody’s guess.
