Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk release date revealed

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC is getting its second part before the end of the year

The Indigo Disk, the second DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, is releasing worldwide on December 14, 2023.

After the Teal Mask DLC dropped in September, unlocking the brand-new Kitakami region, anticipation has built for the second part of this DLC. This will unlock another new area to explore with even more returning Pokémon for Scarlet & Violet in the Blueberry Academy, a school floating in the ocean with several different biomes inside.

Plenty of features have been teased for the DLC, including your very own room in the academy which you can fully customize, as well as the academy’s own version of the Elite Four to battle against. We will also see the threads left dangling from the Teal Mask, as it ended on a rather ominous note for the future.

It wouldn’t be complete without new Pokémon though, with Archaludon serving as a new evolution to Galar’s Duraludon, as well as the new Paradox versions of Raikou and Cobalion known as Raging Bolt and Iron Crown. With Suicune and Virizion already having Paradox versions of themselves, we wonder if the DLC is also hiding the final forms of the trios, Entei and Terakion.

The centerpiece of it all is Terapagos. A cute turtle Pokémon that, like the Teal Mask’s Ogrepon, seems to have unique Terastelization powers. Its shell shows images of all 18 Pokémon types, and a recent trailer teased the potential of it having some sort of multi-type ability, but that remains to be seen.

We will keep you updated as more new features are revealed, including our list of every new Pokémon in the Scarlet & Violet DLC.
