Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s release window has been announced to be Winter 2023. Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment revealed the launch date at the Summer Games Fest 2023.

The third-person shooter with heavy hack ‘n slash elements is a sequel to 2011’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, which has a special place in the hearts of 40K video game fans, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It was originally revealed during The Game Awards 2021 with gameplay being shown at The Game Awards 2022.

Players once again take control of the Ultramarine Titus, who has become a Primaris Space Marine in-between games. Titus will be voiced by actor Clive Standen ('Vikings') this time around, who replaces the main character’s original voice actor Mark Strong ('1917', 'Kingsman').

You'll be able to play co-op with up to three players, which looks like a lot of fun and is sure to delight Warhammer fans.

A new trailer accompanied the release window announcement, giving you another taste of what you can expect:

Space Marine 2’s main enemies will be the alien Tyranids, a brutal swarm of insectoid beings that devours entire worlds. Saber’s Swarm Engine, which was previously used to put thousands of zombies on screen for World War Z, will be used to pit players against never-ending waves of Tyranids.

Thankfully, Space Marines have a lot of tools at their disposal to deal with something like that – from Meltas over Bolters to Chainswords, the Imperium’s glorious weapons arsenal is at your disposal to purge the xenos.
