Alan Wake 2 Wellness Center code: how to unlock Saga's hunting rifle
Alan Wake 2 is now a survival horror game, whether you like it or not, and with that transition from psychological action thriller comes survival horror tropes. Both protagonists in Alan Wake 2 – Saga Anderson and Alan Wake himself – have a mighty arsenal at their disposal, but unlocking them all can be a bit difficult.
The hunting rifle is one of the most powerful weapons in the game, capable of felling just about any enemy you'll come across in a single shot at the cost of a very slow reload time. It's worth going out of your way to get it, though, and the process for unlocking it is quite complex.

Wellness Center: Blum’s computer code- AW2
The hunting rifle does not become available until later in the story of Alan Wake 2, when you're as Saga Anderson and reach the Valhalla Nursing Home. After visiting the guests of Valhalla for the first time, you'll be able to go to the adjacent Wellness Center, and that's where our treasure resides.
At the Wellness Center, you'll come across a door without a handle, which you will later discover is the private room of Blum, a staff member who is fond of hunting. To enter the room, you'll need to locate the handle, but to do so you'll have to log into Blum's PC and sift through his emails.

To get the login code to access Blum's PC, you will have to enter the exact date of the day after the next new moon. This is obtained by cross-referencing the documents in the drawers and the calendar in the room, as well as Blum's notes that reveal how he used the European format for dates.
In doing so, you will discover Blum's computer code is 170823.
Wellness Center Door Knob location - AW2
Once you have read the various emails in Blum's PC, return to the entrance of the Wellness Center and, after the first sliding door, enter the staff lounge. From here, head to the reception desk. The handle is located right in a cardboard box at the foot of the reception desk.

Retrieve the door knob and return to Blum's private room, apply it to the door and open it. Inside the room, you'll find a cabinet near the entrance, in which is the hunting rifle and other items useful for your mission. The hunting rifle is one of the best weapons for taking down bosses and tough enemies, so you'll want to equip it to your quick select right away and save your ammo for the right moment.
