COD MW3 Mercenary Convoy: How to find and destroy the convoy in Zombies mode
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has a brand new Zombies mode, and instead of bespoke levels and round-based progression, you’ll instead be running across a large map completing contracts. Yep, it’s the DMZ gameplay loop, only the other real players you’ll encounter will be relatively friendly.
But there are hostiles other than zombies out there, and one of the biggest threats is the Mercenary Convoy. There are a bunch of reasons to hunt down the Mercenary Convoy on the map, namely the keycard they hold – but there’s an easier way to get that, too. How to find the Mercenary Convoy – MW3

The Mercenary Convoy actually spawns in a pretty similar location each time, usually on the Southern part of the large circular highway that is on the border to entering the Medium Threat Sector.

If you drive along the highway you will inevitably have them spawn nearby and appear on your map. Check the image above for the location where we managed to find them – they are almost always in this Southern part of the map, from our experience.
Best way to destroy the Mercenary Convoy – MW3

The main goal is to take out each of the Mercenaries that is a part of the convoy, along with the leader who will drop a keycard.
Shooting them is obviously the done thing, but explosives in this situation will be very useful, as you may sometimes need to ensure that the vehicles are disabled – or under your control – in order to complete the task, especially if it’s for the Interceptor contract.

The Mercenary Keycard is the main reward, and grants you access to the Mercenary Stronghold. Strongholds are filled with enemies, but will also have decent weapons and rewards to help with your Zombies extraction.
