The most difficult ending to achieve in Elden Ring is the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending. To get this ending you need to undertake a pretty obtuse and esoteric quest, meaning you might not ever come across it over the course of your standard play. You’ll need to delve deep underneath the city of Leyndell and find the ancient Cathedral of the Forsaken. That’s quite a feat in itself, but you’ll be able to find all of these locations by following our guide.

In this guide we’ll give you all of the information and directions you need in order to find the Three Fingers, claim the Flame of Frenzy, and get the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending in Elden Ring. It's only fitting for one of the best open world games.

Once at the bottom of this shaft, you’ll find the Frenzied Flame Proscription Site of Grace, and an imposing door with a strange riddle. If you have Milena with you, you can chat to her at the Site of Grace.

The hint is that only wretches can pass through. If you’re a dedicated FromSoftware fan you’ll know what this means immediately, but for everyone else, think back to the start of the game. The Wretch is the starting class with the least amount of experience and gear.

In order to pass through the door, you need to be naked. Unequip all gear and weapons, including talismans.

The Lord of Frenzied Flame ending – Elden Ring

Once you have entered the door and embraced the Three Fingers, you will have the Frenzied Flame within you. Milena will leave you at this point, if she’s still present. Now you just need to activate the Fractured Marika, which you can only find after beating Elden Ring’s final boss, the Elden Beast.

Once you have the Frenzied Flame, you can only activate the Frenzied Flame ending. Removing the Frenzied Flame is possible if you decide you do not want this ending, but the quest to achieve it is even longer than this one.

Depending on whether Milena was still with you when you earned the Frenzied Flame, you can see a slightly different cutscene to close out the game. That’s all the Elden Ring you get to see until we get DLC or a robust update.
