Elden Ring is the critically acclaimed action RPG from Japanese developer FromSoftware. Taking place in a fully open world, players have to battle against difficult enemies, including a series of boss characters. 

Players can also explore the world on horseback and complete sidequests, some of which lead to alternate endings. 

At the end of 2022, FromSoftware released Elden Ring's Colosseum update, adding in more PvP elements for players who like to invade. 

Elden Ring won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022, along with many other plaudits. Hidetaka Miyazaki also won Best Game Direction.
