Fortnite’s new season is just a couple of days away, and amongst all the confusion about when the correct date was, we finally have official confirmation from the Fortnite Twitter account. Chapter 4 Season 2 is looking to be an interesting one, with big new mechanics like first-person mode coming to the game, alongside a Neo-Tokyo-style theme with vast cyberpunk cities full of Japanese architecture.

We’ll let you know exactly when the servers are expected to go down for the new season update, so you can get playing as soon as the new content is available.

The servers will be going down on Friday, March 10, 2023 to prepare for this update, here’s the full list of times in each time zone:

  • 11pm PT on March 9
  • 2am ET
  • 7am GMT
  • 8am CET
  • 12:30pm IST
  • 4pm JST
  • 5pm AEST

It’s worth mentioning that if you’re playing on an older PC that still runs Windows 7 or 8, this update will officially stop supporting those versions of Windows. You must be running Windows 10 or newer.

We know when the servers will be going down, but what about going live again?

This one is a little harder to pin down, as major updates to games like Fortnite can take a long time. Still, based on previous updates, we can estimate that the servers will be down for roughly 5-7 hours. This means that you can expect the Fortnite servers to come on at roughly the following times:

  • 6am PT
  • 9am ET
  • 2pm GMT
  • 3pm CET
  • 7:30pm IST
  • 11pm JST
  • 12am AEST on March 11

Of course, these times are always subject to change, as problems could easily delay the update by a couple of hours. We’ll be keeping an eye on the patch as it happens and will update this space if any delays occur.
