While Eevee might seem an easy target at first glance, just like Pikachu, The Pokémon Company has a few tricks up its sleeve. It is stronger and bulkier than the usual Eevee, and the tight raid timings will make it hard to take down. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming seven-star Eevee raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

When does the Eevee raid start?

The Eevee raids are to celebrate Eevee Day and coincide with Eevee-based events across a number of Pokémon games.

As such, it’s only available for one weekend, so catch it quickly before it’s gone. Here’s when Eevee is available.

7-Star Tera Raid Eevee stats, moves, and ability – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Mightiest Eevee – Level 100

• Nature – Hardy
• Ability – Anticipation
• Item – None
• Tera type – Normal
• Move set – Baby-Doll Eyes, Double-Edge, Hyper Voice, Charm, Bite

Luckily, Eevee’s nature, ability, and item won’t do anything here, but it still has a number of annoying moves. It constantly tries to lower your attack stat to counter Fighting-types which are usually physical attacks. Bite is to counter Ghost-types, but luckily it won’t do much damage here. The barrier does proc at the start and will stay up until it’s knocked out, meaning that status moves will not affect Eevee here.

Best counters for Eevee – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The most important part of the Eevee fight will be taking it down in time, even though the barrier is up. This means that the usual status moves like Screech won’t work, and you’ll need attacking moves with secondary effect instead. Here are our picks.

Koraidon

Koraidon – Level 100

• Nature – Impish
• Ability – Orichalcum Pulse
• Item – Clear Amulet
• Tera type – Fighting
• Move set – Drain Punch, Swords Dance, Collision Course, Mud-Slap

Swords Dance will make Koraidon land some powerful moves, and it can restore all of its health with Drain Punch. Mud-Slap is one of the best moves in the game for raids as it’s guaranteed to drop Eevee’s accuracy. Collision Course does 33% extra damage when targeting a Normal-type making it far stronger. Clear Amulet is important here as it will prevent any attack drops from Baby-Doll Eyes and Charm.

Sinistcha

Sinistcha – Level 100

• Ability – Hospitality
• Item – Big Root
• Tera type – Ghost
• Move set – Matcha Gotcha, Life Dew, Reflect, Nasty Plot

Sinistcha is a Special Attacker who won’t be affected by Baby-Doll Eyes; it can also boost its attack significantly with Nasty Plot. Matcha Gotcha can both heal Sinistcha, and leave Eevee with a burn, halving its damage output. As a Ghost-type Sinistcha is also immune to Eevee’s most powerful attack Double-Edge. Sinistcha is also one of the best supporters in the game: Reflect will reduce Eevee’s damage output while Life Dew and its ability Hospitality will heal your teammates.

Annihilape

• Item – Big Root
• Tera type – Fighting
• Move set – Drain Punch, Bulk Up, Focus Energy, Close Combat

Bulk Up will work to both keep Annihilape alive and boost its attack, while Focus Energy severely increases its chances of landing a powerful Critical Hit. Drain Punch will help improve its health and that will be boosted by Big Root and its Fighting Tera type, while Close Combat just works as a very powerful Fighting-type move. Defiant  is a must as an ability if you want to boost attack when Baby-Doll Eyes is used, and prevent stat drops from Charm.

Iron Hands

Iron Hands – Level 100

• Ability – Quark Drive
• Item – Clear Amulet
• Tera type – Fighting
• Move set – Drain Punch, Belly Drum, Electric Terrain, Iron Defense

Iron Hands is a staple of raids at this point due to its monstrous attack and great defenses. Belly Drum will maximize its attack on turn one, and then it can recover all of its health with Drain Punch. Iron Defense will improve its chances of surviving against Eevee, though it likely will not be needed. Electric Terrain rounds off this set, as it will boost Iron Hands’ Attack by 30%.

Probopass

• Item – Shell Bell
• Tera Type – Fighting
• Move Set – Iron Defense, Body Press, Sandstorm, Helping Hand

Body Press uses Probopass’ massive Defense stat so it won’t be challenged by Eevee’s Attack drops. Body Press deals huge super-effective damage, and Sandstorm will help boost Probopass’ Special Defense for Hyper Voice. Before terastylisation it double resists Normal-type attacks giving it huge longevity.
