Remnant 2: How to unlock the Summoner archetype
The base four classes aren’t the only ones hidden away in Remnant 2, and one of the first new ones you’ll have the opportunity to unlock is the Summoner. We’ve already ranked the best Remnant 2 classes out of the base five, but adding another to your arsenal can only make you more powerful.
Here’s how to unlock the Summoner archetype in Remnant 2.
Summoner isn’t the only other class you can unlock, as you can also find out how to unlock the Explorer class, and how to unlock secondary classes to run two classes at once.
How to unlock the Summoner class – Remnant 2

Somewhere in Yaesha – the first main world you enter – will be a Bloodmoon Altar. As the game’s worlds are procedurally generated, we can’t give you a set location, but when you find one, it’ll be highlighted blue on your map.
Interact with it and you’ll be asked to exchange Bloodmoon Essence and Scrap for items. You can collect Bloodmoon Essence from pink wisps that can also be found floating around Yaesha. You’ll want to buy the Faded Grimoire.
Use the nearest checkpoint to head back to Ward 13 and talk to Wallace, the psychic up in the crane that gave you your starting class. You’ll then be able to buy the Summoner Class from in and equip it as either your primary or secondary class.
