Resident Evil 4’s brand new remake has a bunch of requests in it from the merchant, and some of them are particularly tricky, especially when the merchant is asking for some valuable items. One rare item in particular is the Gold Egg, which you will be very lucky to find in the game.

There are two guaranteed locations to find a Gold Chicken Egg though, and one of them is at the Lake during Chapter 4, the same place where you get the Egg Hunt request. If you want to tie this one up quickly, just follow our instructions below.

Where to start the Egg Hunt request – RE4 Remake

You can pick up the Egg Hunt request just before jumping into a boat for the first time in Chapter 4. It’s on the wall near the dock. It is very vague on where you can actually find a Gold Chicken Egg, though.

If you look at the East side of the map for the Lake, you can see a sole, lonely spot to dock which appears to have a single treasure waiting for you. If you dock here, you can find a bunch of chickens – there’s no point in killing them, and in fact, they’re more likely to lay eggs if you leave them alone.

But most importantly, at the back of this tiny dock in the bushes, you can find a Gold Chicken Egg. This always spawns here, and is perfect for completing the Egg Hunt request. Just sell this Gold Chicken Egg to the merchant to complete this task.
