The Resident Evil 4 remake has a bunch of merchant requests for you to complete, and they’re well worth doing. They all reward you with Spinels, which you can then trade for increasingly rare items. That it makes them worth going out of your way for, and the Insect Hive request is a pretty simple one to complete.

You will pick up the Insect Hive request during Resident Evil 4 remake Chapter 11, in the same area you need to complete it. If you leave the area without finishing it, you will fail, unfortunately, so make sure to read this guide and finish this request before going anywhere.

Where to start the Insect Hive request – RE4 Remake

You’ll pick this request up over the course of Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 11, shortly after the minecart section. The area you find yourself in will be called The Hive, and you can find this request in the first room on the path surrounding the hive. Oh, and there are a lot of Novistadors here.

The request is simple: take out the hive.

How to complete the Insect Hive request – RE4 Remake

To take out the hive, we need to find four glowing weak spots. If you aim your rifle up at the hive in the center of the room, you should be able to see at least on glowing point from wherever you are in the room. 

You’ll see this first weakpoint just outside the room you pick up the request from.

Further up the path, you’ll be able to look up and see this one.

This weak point can be seen from the same location.

This final weak point is around the corner – you’ll need to crouch through a tunnel to get here, just before you get to the elevator exit.
