Resident Evil 4 Remake: All Mercenaries ranks, scores, and unlocks
Resident Evil 4 Remake was a ten at launch, but with the addition of The Mercenaries? Well, it’s better than ever. This free DLC release puts your skills to the test. Sure, you can solve puzzles and beat down Ganados, but how about 150 enemies? Okay, so maybe you can take them all down, but can you do it quickly, and chain those kills together for a combo bonus?
The Mercenaries forces players to use all the tools at their disposal to overcome the odds and take down a huge number of foes. You are fighting against a time limit, but smart play will reward you with extra time, and any time remaining after you finish you 150th foe will be rewarded to you as extra points.

All Mercenaries ranks and scores – RE4 Remake
If you want to get good ranks on Mercenaries stages, then you’re in luck: only the S++ ranks are truly tough to attain, and you can get S rank across all stages by just achieving 200,000 points or more. For all ranks and the scores needed to get them, check our list below.
- C – 49,999 or below
- B – 50,000 to 99,999
- A – 100,000 to 199,999
- S – 200,000 to 499,999
- S+ – 500,000 to 999,999
- S++ – 1,000,000+
Mercenaries unlockable characters – RE4 Remake
There are four total characters you can unlock and play in RE4 Remake’s The Mercenaries mode at launch, and they can all be unlocked through playing The Mercenaries mode.
- Leon S. Kennedy – unlocked by default.
- Luis Serra – unlocked after achieving an A rank with Leon
- Jack Krauser – unlock after achieving an A rank with Luis
- Hunk – unlocked after achieving an A rank with Krauser
Mercenaries unlockable stages – RE4 Remake
There are three stages to play at launch, each based on the three main areas from the game.
- Village – unlocked by default
- Castle – unlocked once Village is cleared once
- Island – unlocked once Island is cleared once
Mercenaries unlockable items – RE4 Remake
Currently you can unlock the Bonus Weapon, the Handcannon, through The Mercenaries. This is much easier than unlocking it with the only method present when the game launched, and will make your playthroughs much simpler.
