Steam Next Fest in October 2023: start times
Steam Next Fest is a paradise for fans of indie games, allowing players to try out free demos for hundreds of upcoming video games on PC. In addition to those demos, the event will feature a host of developer livestreams enabling users to ask questions and give feedback live, getting insight into the development process and the teams’ thoughts on their games.

Next Fest will last until October 16, 2023, – or October 17 in some regions – ending at the same time as it began.
Some demos have already been available for a few days, though a majority comes live as soon as the event starts. You can read our RoboCop: Rogue City preview as an example for a demo version that’s already been live for a few days.
Furthermore, some titles we’ve seen at gamescom 2023 will become playable for the public at Steam Next Fest: You can dig greedily and deeply in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, experience the thrilling SpellRogue’s take on Slay the Spire, build adorable cities in Wild Country, or crown yourself the next king of hell in Solium Infernum.
RTS fans can look forward to playing the first three campaign missions of the upcoming Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, while players looking for a more relaxed strategy experience may find some joy in the demo for Pioneers of Pagonia.
Naturally, this is just the tip of the iceberg: With hundreds of games being available during the upcoming event, there will truly be something for everyone to try and enjoy.
