A new limited-time Apex Legends mode puts a challenging new twist on Team Deathmatch, with no shields and no helmets. The mode, which Respawn Entertainment officially called TMD Unshielded Deadeye, begins April 25, 2023, and runs through May 9, 2023, with a suite of new challenges to complete and cosmetics to earn in the multiplayer game.

Legends in Unshielded Deadeye start a match with a random loadout every time, beginning with either the Wingman and 30-30 Repeater; the Hemlok and G7 Scout; or the Kraber and Sentinel

There’s no care package, no helmet, and, as you’d expect from the name, no shields, designed to make the FPS game's already difficult mode even more grueling. The first team to reach 50 eliminations wins the round.

Running in tandem with Unshielded Deadeye is the Veiled Collection Event, featuring 24 new cosmetics that are also only around for a limited time. Highlights include legendary skins for Gibraltar, Wattson, and Rampart, and if you unlock all 24 cosmetics before the event ends on May 9, 2023, you get Caustic’s new Prestige skin thrown in for good measure.

You can get all the event cosmetics with Apex Coins or crafting materials or find them in collection event packs. Challenges reset daily, so you theoretically have a decent chance of getting most, if not all, cosmetics without too much effort.
