EA Sports WRC, the officially licensed game of the FIA World Rally Championship, is releasing on November 3, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.

Pre-orders get you five VIP Rally Passes for access to additional post-launch content, livery and apparel packs, and up to three days of early access starting on October 31, 2023.

You can watch the reveal trailer below:

The game is developed by Codemasters, the team behind the Dirt Rally series, and is stated to be “the first truly next-generation rally game and the quintessential title for sim-racing enthusiasts.”

EA Sports WRC is powered by Unreal Engine for the first time, featuring 18 official locations (with Central Europe Rally coming post-launch), over 600 km of asphalt, gravel, and snow tracks, ten current WRC, WRC2, and Junior WRC vehicles, and 68 of the most iconic rally cars spanning 60 years of the sport’s history.

The advanced Dynamic Handling System refines Codemasters’ original model and promises to deliver “the most realistic off-road experience to date.” The realism extends to audio with each car’s sounds being intricately replicated. Fresh pace notes, including simplified commands for rookie drivers, give much-needed information to the player.

A brand-new feature, Builder, allows you to construct your very own modern-era rally car, selecting the chassis, body shells, and mechanical parts, customizing the interior and exterior, and personalizing the livery. Once you do all this, you can go and compete for the World Championship against the best WRC cars.

Codemasters’ latest racer also features cross-platform multiplayer races for up to 32 users, allowing for competition between friends and the wider rally community. Clubs on EA Racenet, EA’s racing game companion app, serve as community-built hubs offering custom multi-surface tournaments with rallying at any location and time of year. On top of that, Moments, updated daily in-game, give players the chance to relive pivotal scenarios from the 2023 season alongside classic events from the sport’s archives. This array of features will be familiar to those playing Codemasters’ F1 games.

EA Sports WRC is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 3, 2023, with early access starting October 31, 2023, for those who pre-order.
