Final Fantasy 16 DLC Echoes of the Fallen is out now
Square Enix has revealed the first story expansion for Final Fantasy 16, the Echoes of the Fallen DLC, for PS5 at The Game Awards 2023. Echoes of the Fallen is out now, so you can go and play immediately.
Rising Tide, a second DLC for Final Fantasy 16, will follow it in spring 2024.

Final Fantasy 16 was released on June 22, 2023, for PS5 and sold over three million copies worldwide during its first week after launch. However, the title notably fell short of fulfilling the commercial expectations Square Enix had set for it. While it earned high review scores overall, praise for the game wasn’t unanimous by any means – and the lack of a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2023 underlines that.
GLHF’s Final Fantasy 16 review called it “an incredible action game that is compromised by shallow RPG mechanics.”
Producer Naoki Yoshida promised that a PC port of Final Fantasy 16 would be coming, but so far we’ve not heard any official news about it.
