Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 and Xbox One was originally scheduled to be released in April 2023, but WB Games has announced that the open-world RPG’s launch on last-gen consoles has to be delayed for another month.

“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this. Hogwarts Legacy will launch for PS4 and Xbox One May 5, 2023,” the official Twitter account for the game shared.

Hogwarts Legacy launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 10, 2023, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned to be released on July 25, 2023. Since WB Games and Avalanche Software do not seem to be working on any DLC, the Switch version is likely to be the last Hogwarts Legacy release aside from technical updates to support the game and fix various performance issues.

During its latest earnings call, WB Games revealed that Hogwarts Legacy had sold over 12 million copies and made $850 million in its first two weeks on the market.
