Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is now free on the Epic Games Store
The Epic Games Store is finally bringing the goods now that its holiday giveaway is coming to an end: After A Plague Tale: Innocence was free for 24 hours, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has become the current free Epic Games Store offer – and not just for a day. Users can claim the superhero title over the course of the next week with the offer finally running out on January 11, 2024.
Developed and published by Eidos-Montréal, the single-player game was released in October 2021 and was widely praised for its immersive dialog and story as well as its fantastic soundtrack. Though technical difficulties marred the experience a bit and the gameplay itself was considered to be average, it received pretty warm reviews – perhaps helped by the low expectations for Marvel games at that point, thanks to the disappointment that was Marvel’s Avengers.
