The Pokémon Company has hosted another Pokémon Presents show on August 8, 2023, and announced a whole bunch of news around the beloved pocket monsters and their video games.

Detective Pikachu is releasing on October 6, 2023, and has been revealed to feature Pikachu and Tim on the lookout for the missing Harry, Tim’s dad. Pokémon up to Gen 8 will be included and the gameplay revolves around the point and click principle, just like the original. Players will also be able to work with new partner Pokémon, such as a Growlithe that picks up scents and a Darmanitan that breaks through walls.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have two new Pokémon games at their disposal now: The Game Boy’s Pokémon Trading Card Game and Nintendo 64’s Pokémon Stadium 2 have both been added to the NSO library.

A new 7-Star Raid for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet has been announced, which is going to feature none other than the mighty Mewtwo. Running from September 1 to 17, 2023, this Legendary is going to be your greatest challenge yet. Additional Tera Raids will come online from August 9 to 17 as well as August 18 to 31 in preparation for this battle.

Furthermore, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will feature an increased chance of a Clefairy outbreak between September 29 and October 2, 2023.

There have been more reveals around the two Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLCs as well. The Teal Mask – the first part of the duo – has been confirmed to release on September 13, 2023. There’ll be a photography side quest, a new selfie stick item, and a new mini-game to give Pokémon mochi for EV training.

The Indigo Disk, which will follow up on The Teal Mask features a new league with its own Elite Four and allows players to change their Pokéball throwing style. Both packs feature tons of returning Pokémon as well as brand-new ones, some of which were revealed in the show. Paradox Pokémon are included as well, for example a Raikou looking like a giraffe called Raging Bolt and a Cobalion looking like a robot stag named Iron Crown.
